Whisky Cocktail: Qinta Cheri Amour
Sometimes I like to dabble in cocktail construction with my good friend forrest. He has an amazing cocktail site called, a drink with forrest. When I wrote my review of the Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban, I asked him for help in constructing some nice elegant cocktails to enjoy using this fine Single Malt Scotch. Here is one of the awesome cocktails he made called, Quinta Cheri Amour.
(Although the recipe originally called for a specific single malt scotch, I have messed around a bit and discovered that the cocktail tasted great with any of the more sweetish scotch whiskies in my cabinet.)
Quinta Cheri Amour
(a cocktail by forrest)
2 1/4 oz nonpeated Single Malt Scotch
1/2 oz Cherry Herring
1/4 oz Gran Gala
Stir w/ cracked ice until chilled, Strain into Cocktail Glass
Express the oils of a flamed orange zest
Garnish with rolled zest and a cherry
**and a dash of Peychauds
I think you will agree that forrest and the cocktails he makes rock!
