Dry Gin Martini

I like to omit the standard olive in the recipe in favour of a slice of lemon or lime, and I also prefer my martini stirred, not shaken, (as the original James Bond in the books did).

Dry Gin Martini

dash Dry Vermouth
1 3/4 ounces Gin
ice
lemon peel
thin slice of lemon

Pour the Vermouth and the Gin into a mixing glass with ice
Stir (for about 20 seconds)
Strain into a cocktail glass
Squeeze the lemon peel to release some oil
Add a thin slice of lemon to the cocktail.

And of course… enjoy!
